The Republic of Guinea-Bissau, located in Western Africa, is one of the smallest countries in Africa. The economy of Guinea-Bissau is highly dependant on agriculture and fishing. Main crops include cashew nuts, rice, corn, beans, cassava and cotton. The largest export product is cashew nuts. It is the 6th largest producer of cashew in the world. The country has deposits of mineral resources but they are mostly unexploited. Mineral resources include phosphates, granite, bauxite and limestone. Main industries of Guinea-Bissau are agricultural products processing and soft drinks. |
